Veering from the full album format, here's a bunch of single releases from the early 80s Italian group Amin-Peck (George Fyron and Leonard Parker and later addition Giorgi Fiorini). Not a lot of info on these dudes. The sound is dark Italo Disco with minimal wave leanings. Think red lights and smoke machines - A real fun way to start or end the day depending on your mood.

Eddie Hazel "Games, Dames, and Guitar Thangs"
Eddie Hazel was the legendary Funkadelic guitarist for their first three records, Funkadelic, Free Your Mind…And Your Ass Will Follow, and Maggot Brain. Best known for his epic 10 minute solo on Maggot Brain - The story goes he was tripping heavily on LSD and Clinton told him to "play like yo momma just died." He had some issues with Clinton over finances eventually leaving the group and contributing sporadically after that, with exception of co-writing Standing on the Verge of Getting it on. After a stint in jail for assaulting an airline stewardess and drugs, he recorded this solo album, Games, Dames, and Guitar Thangs. Mr Muthafuckin' eXquire put me on to this album while we were in Philly. When the record came on it proved to be the perfect psychedelic vibe for the scene. I thank him for that, now maybe you thank me?
Standouts (for me) - "Frantic Moment" "So Goes the Story" "I Want You" "Physical Love" Although it's all good…

ZZ TOP - TEJAS
I've been kind of crazy for ZZ Top lately; I can't really listen to anything else. Specifically their early records before they got all synthed out, but I'm not mad at them for that. This record, Tejas, which was their last before they took a two year hiatus and signed with Warner Bros, is a weird one. They really let Frank Beard stretch out, right before they would reign him in with those drum machines. Speaking of those drum machines, in 1987 when they went to release all of their early records on CD, someone made the decision to rerecord and remaster all the drum tracks. They gave them the dry, echoey sound that was popular at the time. Obviously this is a controversial choice for fans of those early records, so the tracks posted here are ripped from a vinyl copy.
